‘Relief’ is a series of ten numbered bricks. In the bricks the word ‘relief’ is left out and each unique brick is on sale for 350 euros [the price of the brick does not include travel costs and, if necessary, lodging expenses]. A brick can be bought if there is a strong sense of (social) injustice, misunderstanding, rejection or another unsolvable situation without any foreseeable solution. It could also be a situation where there is a feeling of incomprehension by someone rejected. When a brick is bought it will be thrown by the artist at an object, building or institute chosen by the purchaser. The potential target must approve on the basis of a written motivation letter provided by the purchaser. The correspondence between the artist and purchaser is a part of the work [the name of the purchaser will not be mentioned].
After throwing the brick there will be relief. The buyer will receive an exclusive photograph of the action.
